Maria Booker, 35, of Locust Grove in Virginia, tragically died on June 5, 2023 after a single vehicle accident. Maria Booker was driving back to Virginia in her 2018 Chevrolet when she disappeared, causing concern for her family. The Perry County Sheriff’s Department, prompted by an individual who was concerned in Virginia began a search along Interstate 64 for Maria. In close cooperation with the Indiana State Police they found Maria’s car down an embankment near the 75.5 mile marker.
Maria Booker, tragically, was declared dead at the scene. Her body was then transferred to the office of the coroner for an in-depth examination via a forthcoming autopsy. Indiana State Police is currently investigating the accident. Virginia State Police informed Maria’s loved ones of her premature death. Maria Booker, a beloved individual, was known as a loving daughter, sister and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to know her.
Around 7:20 pm, the Perry County Sheriff’s Department found Maria’s car down an embankment near the 75.5 mile marker. Maria Booker was tragically found dead. A preliminary autopsy will be conducted to gain more insight into the incident.

Indiana State Police is currently investigating a tragic incident that occurred on I-64, in Perry County. The Perry County Sheriff’s Department received a report of a missing woman named Maria Booker. She is a 35-year old Virginian from Locust Grove. Booker was traveling to Virginia from Colorado that morning, but her family couldn’t get in touch with her.
In response to the last location given by a member of the family, the ISP along with the Perry County Sheriff’s Department began a search for Booker on I-64. The Perry County Sheriff’s Department found a 2018 Chevrolet that had driven off the road, and was parked in a heavily forested area near the 75.5 mile marker. Tragically, it was discovered that the driver had died. Maria Booker was identified as the driver who died based on her registration and license.
The search for Maria Booker began on I-64 after the caller provided the necessary information. A 2018 Chevrolet, which had gone off the road, was found in densely forested area near the 75-mile mark. The driver was already dead when the vehicle was discovered.
The registration information and the driver’s licence were used by law enforcement to identify the deceased as Maria Booker. The Virginia State Police was notified of the unfortunate death. We are awaiting the results of an autopsy and will update this story when we have more information.

Around 7:20 pm, the Perry County Sheriff’s Department found Maria’s 2018 Chevrolet off the road, down a steep embankment, in densely forested area near the 75-mile mark. Maria Booker’s body was discovered. It was a shocking discovery. The information from her registration and license confirmed that she was the woman in question.
After receiving information from the caller, law enforcement agencies including the Perry County Sheriff’s Office, and the Indiana State Police began a search for Maria Booker along I-64. The searchers located the 2018 Chevrolet in dense woods near a marker, at night. Maria was already dead when the vehicle was discovered.
The registration and driver’s licence information was used by officials to identify the deceased as Maria Booker. After the identification, Virginia State Police was contacted and informed of the tragic news. We are awaiting the results of an autopsy to get more details.
