Later, records were made. She is best known for her hit songs “One Day, I’ll Fly Away” (1980),”You Might Need Somebody”, (1981),”Rainy Night in Georgia” (1981). Secret Combination (1981), her album, remained on the UK Albums Charts for 60 weeks. Crawford’s 1995 album Naked and True brought Crawford back to her roots. Her soul roots were showcased by her collaborations with well-known artists like Bootsy Collins, Bernie Worrell and the Fred Wesley Horns who are all part of Funkadelic. She has worked with many artists, including Quincy Jones and Rick Springfield. Crawford’s 2018 farewell tour to South Africa was cancelled after she suffered a stroke.
