The couple got engaged in Nicaragua. They moved to Ivy Cottage in Kensington Palace, after living previously at St James’s Palace. They married on 12 October 2018 at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle. Eugenie wore a wedding gown designed by British designer Peter Pilotto, and Belgian Christopher de Vos.

Eugenie, Jack and their son August Philip Hawke Brooksbank welcomed their first baby on 9 February, 2021, at the Portland Hospital, London. The child was born via caesarean due to Eugenie’s childhood scoliosis surgery. He was 11th in line at the time of birth.

August was named for his great-grandfather Prince Philip, Duke Edinburgh, as well as two of his five times great-grandfathers, Reverend Edward Hawke Brooksbank, and Prince Albert. He was christened in the Royal Chapel of All Saints at Windsor Park on 21 November 2021 with his second cousin Lucas Tindall.
